Hi, Iā€™m kirsten collins

Gentle and strong. Serious and playful. Competent and lighthearted. When I ask people who know me well, they used these descriptors in contrasting sets.

That makes sense to me: I see my job as holding multiple, and sometimes opposing, perspectives. In therapy, I believe there must be space for profound truths and fleeting observations, emotions and cognitions, body and mind, change and acceptance.

As my client, I offer you space to reflect, to slow down, to process verbally and somatically, and to spend time in a relationship together to arrive someplace anew.

about me

Born in rural Vermont and raised by two therapists, I had loads of time to be in nature and listen. Although the quiet speaks to me, I was always curious, so I wound my way to New York City and found another home and different ways to listen. Along the way, I was a modern dancer, a yoga teacher, a corporate manager, and a clinical director in private practice. Through my twists and turns, I learned that the only accurate guides were messages from the inside. I now help people listen deeply to hear their internal truths and move toward the life they most desire to live.
